why is there fuzz on tennis balls seriously?
i know this has probably been ask a 1000 times but i just bought some to put on my mothers walker and it seemed the fuzzier they were the more they cost just wondering why? ps i havnt played tennis in 25 yrs
You have an interesting assortment of answers on this. I don’t agree with most of them. I believe that the fuzz is there to help the strings grab the ball and enable you to control what the ball does after you hit it. This enables a player to impart various spins on the ball and also helps keep the ball inbounds. If you try to play with a ball that has lost its fuzz, you will find that it is hard to control.
So many tennis balls
