What do you think of Britain’s ‘Golden decade of sport’?

You’ll probably know that the other day England and the rest of the United Kingdom were named hosts for the Rugby League and Rugby Union world cup. Over the next decade Britain will be hosting the Olympics in London 2012, the Champions League Final at Wembley in 2011, the Rugby League and Rugby World Cup, the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the ATP tennis finals and the Cricket World Cup and many others I could also mention such as the Ryder Cup. And it doesn’t stop there as England are overwhelming favourites to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018, London is interested in hosting America’s Super Bowl and there could be another Commonwealth Games in the UK again!

For such a tiny nation to be holding all of these events is pretty astonishing. Even huge countries such as America and China would be pretty ecstatic if they were hosting these events in just a decade or so.

But some people are already asking if there is just too much sport happening in the UK. What do you think?

Britain sucks. I’m uninterested.
