Balls Court

Balls Court
Is a ball mark on a hard court in a tennis match a fair way to call a ball in or out?

I have just played a tennis match on a hard court and called a ball out based on the ball mark which it left. However, I realize that a ball mark does not show all of the part of the ball that touched the ground.

Clay and har-true courts get swept, so there are fewer marks. Furthermore, the marks are pretty distinct. So, generally, it’s easy on clay courts. Now, hard courts don’t get swept, and so there are a lot of marks. However, every once in a while, you get a pretty clear one. So, my answer is that it depends.
