Flying with 2lacrosse sticks: Can I stick them in my checked bag?
I’m flying within the US, and I want to bring my two lax sticks. I had already planned on taking the heads off and putting them in my carry-on. I don’t want to risk breaking them. What do I do with the shafts though? I’m going to make sure both ends are covered. Can I stick them in my checked bag with my other things? It’s a long duffel bag, and they’ll fit. Or, Do I need a whole different checked bag for them?
I don’t have a bag for my sticks. If they have to be checked separately, can I just secure them with a few cable ties?
Am I the only one that thinks it’s unfair to allow tennis rackets and skateboards on the plane?
You can put the shafts in your checked bag with no problem – all kinds of sports equipment, tools, swords, weapons and other things are allowed in checked baggage.
No opinion on the fairness or lack thereof – in this case, it is a matter of opinion. People with tennis rackets probably think it is very fair.
