Number of sets in Tennis Masters Series Finals?
Not all the Masters finals are five sets. See following list for 06 and 07.
It is hard to track what it going on. I was hoping to see 5 setters in Montecarlo final and was suprised to see “Championship Point” after two sets.
1. Indian Wells (3 sets in both 06, 07)
2. Miami (5 sets in both 06, 07)
3. Monte-carlo (5 sets in 06, 3 sets in 05)
4. Rome (5 sets in 06)
5. Hamburg (5 sets in 06)
6. Montreal (3 sets in 06)
7. Cinci (3 sets in 06)
8. Madrid (5 sets in 06)
9. Paris (5 sets in 06)
10. Tennis Masters (5 set in 2006)
What I know is that the rules have been changed recently, and all matches will be 3 sets exept for men’s Grand Slams (5 sets). So now the masters series final should be only 3 sets.
